Jack Miller formed The Miller Group Worldwide LLC in 2002 after more than 35 years of experience in higher education development and as a management consultant in philanthropy.  Prior to forming The Miller Group, Jack was the Vice Chancellor for Advancement at the University of Denver. In this capacity, he served as a member of the University Cabinet and was responsible for development, alumni, & parents programs.

             During his tenure, the University of Denver successfully completed a $283 million capital campaign. Jack also served as Vice President for University Advancement at Colorado State University and Ball State University, and Executive Vice President/CEO of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. 

An active professional in the field of university advancement, Jack is nationally recognized as a strategist, teacher, and lecturer.  He has presented on topics related to fundraising, alumni relations, and not-for-profit management for the Council for the Advancement & Support of Education (CASE), the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE), the Association of Governing Boards (AGB), and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).  He is the author of chapters in both the Handbook of Institutional Advancement, published by Jossey-Bass and the Handbook for Alumni Administration published by the American Council on Education and MacMillan Publishing.  His awards include the CASE Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Advancement Teaching, the Distinguished Service Award from the University of Nebraska, the Distinguished Service Award from CASE District VI, and the Award for Service to Alumni from the University of Denver.

Jack completed his Master's degree at Eastern Michigan University and holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Washburn University.  He serves as a Director of the Giving Institute, a professional association comprising a select number of leading non-profit consulting firms in the country.  A world traveler, Jack has visited 36 countries.  In his free time he enjoys retreating to his farms in north central Kansas and spending time with his family.
Jill Shelton

Jill Shelton joined the Miller Group in 2004.  Since that time she has worked with over 30 clients on feasibility studies, internal assessments, campaign management, training, and executive searches.  Jill started her consulting career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a business strategy consultant where she specialized in organization design and development, training, and corporate communication.  She also worked on several CRM (customer relationship management) projects involving data mining, analytics, and targeted marketing campaigns.  Her clients included Washington Mutual, US Bank, JP Morgan Chase, and Wells Fargo.  Jill graduated from the University of Denver.  She holds a B.S.B.A. with majors in Finance and Economics and a minor in Leadership Studies.  She has traveled throughout Europe, Asia, Central America, and the United States.  Jill resides in Denver with her husband, Mark and their son, Charlie.  She is an active member of AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) and The Giving Institute.  Outside of work she enjoys traveling, photography, fitness, home improvement projects, and online auctions.
